One Thursday coming up i've got a few hours to kill in the Lake District.

Does anywhere have any recommendations for a nice lunch? It can be anywhere in Cumbria smile

Thanks

We always check the PH Good Grub Guide in the Food & Drink section before we head anywhere.

Kirkstone Inn atop Kirkstone Pass.

Great views and friendly service,, usually with an open fire

Nothing fancy but good grub and good beverages.

As recomended a few times it has to be the rothay garden hotel in grassmere, stunning food (head chef & second in command have worked there over 15 years) & great service.
+ great roads leading to it biggrin
Top wine cellar as well......

There are some spectacular places to eat in the Lakes, might as well make the most of it!
