Legnums are a hoot with a great community over at ClubVR4.

Mine was the red one.

Stageas are worth a look too...

VR4 has a slight edge in a straight line, GTB is lighter, more economical and better in the corners. And has less of a reputation for expensive failures. Stagea is bigger/heavier/thirstier than either (my dad had a 2.5NA VVT Stagea for a year or 2 and averaged 20mpg overall) but hide the extra weight well in the corners.

I went for the Legacy wink

Hi Ben, thought you'd be along... smile

These days I drive this:

It's quicker, more nimble and a little more spacious than the Legnum.

It's a better car but it doesn't give me a silly grin so often and it's Number36, not Ludolph the Legnum.

Looks a nice wagon! Though if I swapped the Legacy for one of those I'd have to buy a 4wd as well. wink

The Legacy looks better than the Legnum IMO.

Well I bought this today. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1907682.htm . What a car. I love it and this particular one is in amazing condition with what looks like every conceivable extra.
Thanks to Ben for his advice before I went to see it.

I was in the same situation before i bought my Legacy. I went to see a Manual VR4 but in the end i went for the Legacy (both same condition, mileage and price). The main reason why i went for the Legacy was due to the lack of any AYC to go wrong.

Thats about it really.

I have met some of the Club VR4 guys and i must say a very nice friendly bunch, very much like the Legacy following.

I'd say go for a Legacy as the Legnum looks like it's imcomplete from the back (i'm going to get so bashed for that...lol)

smash

Wot's missing?

For me - I drive with hand controls - the Legnum's smart 5-speed tipronic 'box was a big attraction. The AYC is quite spooky in action, in a good way...

I'm sure if you asked on ClubVR4 someone local to you would only too happy to show off their car... smile
