Mazda 6 What fuel?

I just bought one and opened the fuel flap to find a sticker saying super unleaded only but a contradictory peice of instruction below reading 95 ron min. 95 is regular so does it need to be super? What does anyone else use? It's a 2.3 sport if that makes a difference.

Is it a UK model or a jap import? Japan has lower octane standard fuel than us.

Uk model as far as I know. I hope so anyway as thats how I have it insured and didnt see anything to make me think the contary.

I have a Japanese import Eunos and it runs great on standard unleaded. It doesn't run at all well on diesel though

Ha ha I worked out which side of the petrol diesel fence it falls. It's just the RON I find a bit trickier.

it means it likes super but you can put normal in.
