what car post mx5?

Hi all. I currently have a mk2 mx5 but i would like to try something else. I daydream of tvrs and elises but the insurance is very high (2k or more) where i am in london at the age of 23!

Can you suggest any fun sportscars that handle but wont cost the earth to insure? Budget around 6-8k
