Receipt for sale of car
Discussion
Have just sold my car on eBay and the guy is coming down to collect it tonight. I've put together a rudimentary receipt to protect both of us, I just get the feeling that I'm going to forget to include something blatantly obvious and it'll come back on me (i have a history of this....) Is there anything else anyone thinks should be added to the below?
Reciept and agreement of sale between

Related to the topic - when a car is sold privately like this, what needs to be done with the V5/who does it?
I can imagine that the seller would be reluctant to leave it to cahnce that the buyer will fill in and send off the change of ownership slip but the buyer would want to know that the car has been re-registered in his won name as well.

Both the buyer and seller fill in a part of the V5.
The buyer then takes away a small slip - this can be used in the event of any discrepancy in his direction.
Its upto the seller to return the V5 to the DVLA, who then post the NEW one out to the new owner.
Its also in the sellers interest to send it off ASAP.
