I had a 4 hour road session with Stuart a couple of weeks ago. It was superb. Nice fella, a real enthusiast with a very effective method. You'll get loads out of it Mrs F and judging by where he took me, he'll find you some pretty tasty roads too...
Pleased to hear the Tokwith session got the thumbs up Ian. Stuart mentioned it to me and it will be next on the menu (when I'm back in employment!).

Stuart coached me for my one day 'Advanced TVR' Ride Drive last year. Top bloke as already said, and I have seen him on patrol on the M62 since then.
Didn't like the runway at Tockwith very much - very stoney when I was there, certainly needed a road sweeping. This put me off doing some of the more vigourous stuff as it wasn't good for the paint job. Did have the pleasure of doing some sideways stuff in the Tuscan, and certainly showed how far the limits are in the dry - amazing really.
Skid pan was fun. I felt dizzy afterwards from driving in circles for an hour in the oily Volvo!

You will be the only car on the runway Lisa, so you won't pick up chips on the bonnet etc. Where it will get chips is behind the wheel arches and on the sills. Of course, they may have swept it up since I was there. I did make a point of asking them whether it was stoney and went up the day before. However, I could not see the runway from the carpark, but they assured me it wasn't stoney. Wrong! IMHO it was! Maybe worth checking directly with Tockwith if you are concerned.

You will be cornering at 60-80 mph and get the tyres squeelihg - until they finally let go! The slalom course was excellent, really showed the benefit of using the steering wheel 'Police style' to get it round quickly and accurately - as in the recent steering article on these very pages.
Are you doing some road driving as well? That was fantastic. Stuart had a drive of my Tuscan and really went for it. Well, he is a Policeman isn't he?
Other recommendation is to get the written report done. It will give you a score etc on a number of aspects and show you what you do well and where you can improve. Stuart practically commented that I missed overtake opportunities because I was either scared or did not realise the potential of the car. Since then I have learned more about overtaking, and have my wife scared instead!
