Don't read Evo, but I do have a road registerd Tuscan racer....with 500bhp
Never found the power too 'bonkers'. Just there when you need it

Who's is it - what's in it? Most things need tuned 'up' to 500bhp - even the factory racers were 'only' making 450ish IIRC (but with less weight to carry than mine).

Who's is it - what's in it? Most things need tuned 'up' to 500bhp - even the factory racers were 'only' making 450ish IIRC (but with less weight to carry than mine).

Tim built my motor up too, but he never mentioned doing another one for another TVR except for Richard Thorpe's Thorpedo racer IIRC. I wonder if it's that motor?

Nope, that one went with the Thorpedo last winter.

It was done by RT though...the birkby car.

Richard acquired two engines of ASCAR origin, one for his Challenge car (which was later sold to James) and one for Steve Hall's Thorpedo, which kept blowing up

Indeed. Its all about being able to control the power when you need to

I had a 130ish bhp lightweight kitcar that compared to your Sag would be useless... in snow - because the engine wouldn't drive the car below 1800rpm
