I need to replace some broken kit before the kids head home for Christmas.

I have a Jamo DVD player that is also an amp and was purchased with all the speakers seven years ago. By all accounts it was a great bit of kit at the time.

Anyway it has packed up and needs replacing but the speakers are fine.

TV in the lounge also needs replacing and thinking of a Panny.

So suggestions please

- Something to plug my speakers into for nice movie sound.
- Also to play DVD's on.
- Recording....have sky plus so not bothered there.
- TV......What about these LG's in the papers going cheap??

Not wanting to spend a fortune so go easy.

Cheers Chaps

Basically LG's are crap (loads of people who got one will tell you this is nonesence) go for a basic Panasonic (X20 or similar). As for surround sound, any basic cinima kit will come with its own speakers making yours redundant, its only the higher priced AV amps that require seperate speakers.

Best option to run your speakers is probably a second hand AV receiver. Check out the for sale section on AVForums, usually some great bargains to be had there.
