I've foolishly agreed to take the missus and sprog (8yo) to london

for a short break. looking like 19-21st november at the mo

now I've managed to source some cheap train tickets for less than the price of parking the sodding car for 2 days, but im struggling to find a hotel

that

A) isnt going to cost more than a forntights family holiday in the algarve
or
B) so many bad reviews on the internet that you not send gordon brown there..

anyone got any pointers... looing for something walkable / short tube from marylebone/euston and around the 200 quid mark for the 3 of us for the friday and sat night

Cheers

Not sure which chain it is but there are a couple of the cheaper hotel chains on Euston Road quite near to Euston Station, there's also a hotel on Cardington Street (again not sure which chain) which is slightly less central. I am sure if you Google them you will find them. Haven't stayed in any of them as I only llive 10 mins away. For the price you want I would go with Travelodge or similar in London...unless you get specific recommendation I wouldn't try and independent hotel at that price point.

I stayed at the Marylebone Hotel a couple of weeks ago, was quite nice & didn't cost the earth.
