te and just well marketed crap so just wanted to ask if anyone can recommend an alternative 'fashion watch' for a young girl. She's pretty set on something 'white' but could be swayed by a classy silver alternative.
Any ideas because I am totally lost and refuse to pay £125 for what is a fancy Kinder Egg toy.
Thanks.

She gets the colours she likes from a Toy Watch. You get the satisfaction that it is good quality.

Just got swmbo a (very) early birthday present - the Accurist charm bracelet watch.
Over the past year I've filled her original Chamillia bracelet with various rubbish (which she seems to completely adore), and when she saw the Accurist it was virtually a no-brainer.
I guess I can understand the interest in the watch/charm bracelet combo, at least she can customise the look as she wants.

I bought my sister a LTD watch (in a submariner style), exactly the same style as a Toy watch but £45. Quality seems to be the same as a Toy watch for what its worth from checking both out. My sister loves it and she wears this all the time.
My wife bought a black watch by Sekonda (again in a submariner style and looks the same as the Toy and LTD watches) from the duty free shop at Manchester airport. Quality seems far better than either the Toy or LTD watches as it has a type of rubberised coating to the strap and case rather than just hard plastic. This watch comes in all sorts of colours including the white ones and several case sizes. I would say that this watch is a much better watch and cost £20 as a special duty free price, I think RRP was £40. I would recommend this watch over TOY and LTD and for the money it seems an excellent fashion watch.

Am I the only one that at first mis-read Chamillia as Chlamydia? Very odd name for a jewellery product...Over the past year I've filled her original Chamillia bracelet with various rubbish (which she seems to completely adore), and when she saw the Accurist it was virtually a no-brainer.

"Initially created as a subversive ‘anti-luxury’ statement accessory, Marco Mavilla’s ToyWatch takes horology to a new level. The wrist attire of choice for many high-profile names, this Italian-born brand is now a global hit.
In the fall of 2006, Milan-based designer and wristwatch aficionado Marco Mavilla designed the first ToyWatch. A lightweight, oversized plastic watch, inspired by high design timepieces, ToyWatch is unexpected, arresting and irreverent. An anti-luxury statement in a luxury obsessed culture, ToyWatch has become the "it" wristwatch and the "must-have" item among style influentials and tastemakers. The Luxury Plasteramic collection is ToyWatch’s signature Plasteramic, but with more sparkle, more shine and featuring pavé crystal dials, stone markers and bezels with crystal baguettes."
Gotta love the marketing men, strip away the bumf and you get "A lightweight, oversized plastic watch", but if that's what she wants, that's what she wants...

My missus got one of those Sekondas at Birmingham airport last week, it's actually pretty good. She gets more comments when she wears that than she does her Omega! My wife bought a black watch by Sekonda (again in a submariner style and looks the same as the Toy and LTD watches) from the duty free shop at Manchester airport. Remember the bloke on The Fast Show....
"Did you get the paper love?"
"No, better than that, I got some periwinkles and a barbeque"
You would have been seen in that light, rather than the astute benefactor...
