Is the new 5 series selling?

Just curious really, as I've not seen many on the roads

yep, I've seen a few here near Bracknell.. Touring version too, which is a handsome thing....saloon less so IMO

There's a fair few in the Kingston area too, but as the BMW dealership is only up the road that's probably not too suprising.

The saloon's growing on me but I thought that the Touring was good looking straight out of the box too.

Well you're going to see a load in Bracknell seeing as BMW HO is in town but not proof they're selling. I've seen a few on the road but again many with a Y plate brobably belonging to BMW.

I've seen very few of them, in fact whenever I do see one it strikes me how long its been since I last saw one!

Ugly beasts IMHO so I'm not surprised.

I don't think i actually know how many i've seen. BMWs are like Audis now, you look and you know it's a BMW but you need a good long stare to work out which one it is. If it's coming the other way it's often out of sight before I've actually worked out which model it was.

See quite a few around here. Next door neighbour has a 530D and the house next to my daughters school has a 530D on the drive too, so that's at least 2 a day! Neighbours previous Jag XF looked much nicer than his 5 Series, but he had a lot of electrical problems with the Jag and lost patience with it.

I've not noticed many around here, but it doesn't really stand out so I've probably seen more than I've noticed.

I think I've only seen one, maybe two around here in Bracknell. The touring does look quite good.

Seen a couple out and about, but they are so anonymous that you have to do a double take to make sure it is actually a new 5 series.

Not a lot of road presence, no doubt lots of "executives" will be specing theirs up as we speak.

Ive seen a lot more of the new E-classes than 5 series - It actually has a lower starting price than the 5 series now, id always thought ive youre a badge snob mercedes is a class above BMW.

Over £28k for a 2.0 diesel 5 series seems a few k too much to me.

I have seen hundreds of new E-class coupes, but virtually no saloons or estates, for some reason.

Probably because Mercedes have achieved what there always aimed for with the E class saloon, and have actually made it look like a taxi from the off, the coupe just works better on all levels, the estate isn't too bad, but the market for E class estate don't change their cars that often.
