5th Gear or Top Gear

Used to be Top Gear (years ago), but it's went from a car show to a general entertainment load of claptrap, albeit with the occasional proper car article.
Fifth Gear on the other hand has went from a show that was blighted by k
bish presenters (Ford and Shaw), to a genuinely informative and enjoyable car show.

Top Gear for me, 5th gear is a car review show, top gear is a motoring/entertainment show, although they do talk some bks!
Don't get me wrong i do like top gear as well but i cant really call it a motoring/entertainment show any more. Its more of a entertainment show. They hardly talk about the cars anymore. king stock car ring, it's nothing short of horrible.Top Gear do the interesting cars and entertainment, they don't do facts you can look up on the internet afterwards.
5th gear do the mundane cars, the odd spicy car and very rarely an interesting car, they don't do entertainment but they do hit us with the "facts" that they get from the manufacturers web page.
If people want anorak information, and i count myself in that, i come to websites and forums like these. If you want to watch a tv program with cars in it, Top Gear all the way.

5th Gear is, imo, miles ahead of TG as a car show.
TG became an entertainment show with cars in it a long time ago. Still good, but I can get my car kicks elsewhere, and can get entertained with better TV elsewhere too.
5th Gear is a format that may not get millions of viewers, but it's a format that will always work for the target demographic.
