Good God, I hope not. It sounds bloody awful.
Looks unbelievably fast though and I do like the thought of instant power whenever you need it.

That sounds really 'sci-fi'!

I don't know, but I sort of like it.

I just love the sound of the motors winding up..not too keen on the dull roar at top end though.

Agree.

Is it a snarling straight-six or rumbly V8 - no
But do I like - yes

Its quite a distressing sound, I don't think I would like to take it on a long drive. (unless it was on a short pier)

I think it was a really good idea to mask the engine with the sound of the wind for the video they make to demonstrate it.

Electric cars should sound like any of the sounds between 1:40 and 1:44 here

But the Tesla Roadster is not really your average car is it, its more the super car of the electric group.

Sounds like the starship enterprise. Not for me. Interesting, but I'll have a V8 or V6 for me thanks.

Makes me laugh at the beginning of the video (in french) it says this was done by professionals in a closed circuit etc - then blatantly you can see the car passing lorries and sign posts on the motorway...

Yeah I think the motors sound quite cool too. Similar in some respect to a straight cut gearbox winding up, but seamless. I expect the dull roar is more a symptom of the lotus underpinnings than anything electrical. It's the same noise you'd get if you coasted at 110mph in an Elise, or in any car with minimal sound deadening.
