Estate Agents suprises me. I wouldn't have thought people would buy property in a recession but then again people will be forced to sell if they loose their job, its a win win for them I guess.

Education is a cert no jobs then improve your skills for when there are jobs just look at the masses going to Uni or applying to go.

Takeaway food shop owner.

It is doing very nicely thank you (not me, my OH).

People on Benefits - unaffected by the recession
People on salaries - downgrading from meals out

However he is working silly hours now to keep up with demand and taking on staff..

Didn't a few big estate agents go bump early on in the credit crunch phase?

Estate agents also covers those looking after rentals. Whilst sellign is stagnent, more people are renting.

I'm a social worker (Stroke specialist).
Myself and the rest of frontline staff have been;
Invited to take unpaid leave two mnths ago.
Invite to reduce contracted hours last month.
Recieved my figures for Voluntary Redundancy yesterday.

Wonder what will be next.

Best not be ill, abused, disabled etc etc in the next few months chaps!
