Trad Narrowboat hire
Discussion
Does anyone know where I could hire a decent-quality trad (or semi) narrowboat for a short midweek break in early Nov? Having owned a boat previously, I don't want a Hoseasons lino-and-formica jobbie but a decent trad boat with a stove, etc. Only needs to sleep 2 plus the dog but I'd ideally like 50ft-ish min.
Location not important but would prefer the southern half of the UK just because it'll be a short break and so we don't want to have a day's travel either end.
Thanks.

As the owner of this boatyard is doing me a favour at the moment I'll put his outfit in the pot:

I should come clean that there's a family interest (my fiancee's family run it) however many of the boats are very new, the newest being copies of an old working boat that has been in the family for years. Don't think you'll find a stove as such, but all mod cons and central heating. I believe the boats are repainted (not just blacked) every year too. South Midlands based, about an hour and a half from London.
Tell them Iain sent you if you hire!
