Anyone know of one?

I'm going to see Richard Hawley at the Spa in a couple of weeks. I don't do gigs sober so need somewhere to crash, preferably without the smell of death and doillies everywhere.

I had hoped for a travelodge or similar, but there doesn't seem to be any chains in the vicinity.

I live a few miles away.

To be honest your really going to struggle, it's not a nice place, unless your almost dead, have 15 children to different fathers or are an alcoholic/drug addict the place just doesn't cater to normal people.

I'm trying hard to think of anywhere passable (well clean) if you look to sewerby there are a few bed and breakfasts there that will cater to people with a bit more money than the normal plebs, they won't be expensive though even so, sewerby is walking distance but a taxi will only be a couple of quid.

The Three Gables B&B is ok, just up the street from the harbour no 37 Windsor Crescent and couple hundred yards from Spa.Tel 01262 673826.

Hope this helps.

I think that there is a three star hotel some where in Brid, as I can remember an aunt saying that she had stayed there and bragging it was the best in the area (sorry I don't know the name of it though).

(As a kid I used to love going on holiday to Brid, but haven't been for years as my wife hates the place with a passion).

from their website, it does look streets ahead of the competition. its out of my hands though, a room has been booked for me at 'the best of a bad bunch'. no idea where, as long as the breakfast helps the hangover I won't be complaining!
