I'm there, as is my mate in his first outing in his new R500SV. We've both got sequential boxes so we've got to stay well apart or we'll certainly be booted off on the drive-by meters.

Think there's a few Atoms in attendance too.

Hope to be there in my 'new' track car - a BMW 328i Coupe formerly owned by Gavin Dunn who is well known to many PistonHead's.

Please order some decent weather so the slicks warm up quickly biggrin.

Hi Jonny

Yep - but not with the sequential (though I've seen one running there ok). Both times I've passed the static but got warned on drive-by - subsequently taking it easy by the meters seemed to do the trick. I've got the carbon airbox and track-day silencer.

Whats the standard of cars like at Bedford? I only drive a 106 so I dont want to hold anyone up!

Also is it good for a first timer? Ive only done a few high speed track days in my car not twisty tracks.

Standard of cars is pretty mixed. Seen everything from Radicals to scrapyard shopping trolleys. Best track in the country for a novice, as there's nothing to hit if you spin (apart from other cars).

That car is a weapon; I was gobsmacked by its pace at Brands! Have fun with your new toy.

Will do my best to maintain the high standards set by Gavin Dunn in that case.

I have bought it with my brother and he's not called "Tourettes Gaz" for nothing !!!

That car looks too quick to be fun for trackdays. What a weapon, but you spent most of your time at 50% behind other stuff...

Also, what gearbox have you got in there? At times it sounded like you were just banging it down regardless.

Awesome car.

ETA: Definate slipper clutch or death wish, 6.10 you bang it down 3 gears at high speed smile
