98 Celica Airbag Light on after ignition turned off

HELP!,

Bit of an odd one this, so any advice welcomed.

The Airbag light on my Celica is coming on but only after I turn off the ignition. Goes off as normal when the car is started.

As a side note the car will not lock with the Remote since this has started happening.

If I sit in the car and press the lock button in the 2 seconds between turning off the ignition and the light coming on it works but as soon as the light comes on the will not lock?

Anyone seen or heard of anything like this before.

Is there a button to turn the passanger airbag off and on?

If there is try turning it off and back on again a few seconds later. This may reset it.

Also try locking the door with the airbag turned off.

No option to tunr the Airbag off on the car I'm afraid, I've tried disconnecting the Batt in the hope it would reset but no luck.
