2002 A Class, Turn Off Passenger Airbag

Hi,

Does anyone know how to turn off the passenger airbag on a 2002 Mercedes A class, there is no switch but have read this can be done, just no info on how

What does the manual say? Is there a button on the dash or a key hole in the door jam?
I've read something which said that you might need to use a "babysmart" child seat - but I don't know what that is.

On the wife's one (albeit a '99 model) the button to turn the passenger airbag on/off is located next to the handbrake / electric window switches.

Unless there was a big change in the interiors between 99 & 02 that'll be where it is.
