Servicing Costs
Discussion
My other half has a Grande Punto 1.4 8v. Nothing special and I would have assumed cheap servicing costs. It's coming up to 12 months old and she's just had a call from the dealer to try and get her to book it in.
For the first service she's been quoted £194 (she didn't ask if this includes VAT or not). Seems quite steep to me for a first service. I've tried searching using Google but couldn't find anything of use. Can anyone advise if this is the norm??

Is that steep ? It's 80 quid for a friend to do it
That might affect the warrenty....... Depends if that's a concern although a local independant might not be that much more and provide genuine parts etc etc might preserve the warrenty but I'm not sure I'd go independant till out of warrentyIn my book £194 for an annual service would be cheap as chips
As per previous poster if you don't get a franchised dealer stamp in the service book, and within a strict timeframe, you may invalidate the warranty. Call the dealer and ask if it is an all inclusive price as quite a few do fixed price servicing now.
