Tyre damage from removal & refitting?
Discussion
My opinion would have been a resounding no, until I did it. Basically, I had two tyres replaced on my daily due to what I was told at one place was an unrepairable fault. when they came off it transpired the nail had to gone thru, so new garage advised I keep tyres.
I stored them in an upright position, in a wheel barrow, as suggested on here.
When they went back on the car they were nothing but trouble. They wore a weird shape, made loads of noise, and caused vibration before I ditched them.

I have several sets of wheels and tyres for the track car (2 sets for track, one road tyre set that stay on the car) plus spare sets of wheels and tyrees for other cars - the ones I'm not using get stored flat fully inflated on a pallet racking 4 in stack at the back of the garage with a blanket over the top in summer months and uncovered in the winter - never have any problems when they are put back into use. I do try to finish off the tyres at the end of the track day season if I can as I can use the space for other things in the winter but it doesn't always work out perfectly.
