PH Mobile "Bad Request"

Hello

I did check the 'Slow' thread but this hasn't come up yet. This morning I got on the PH mobile site fine (Iphone, if it makes any difference). Then it went on go slow but rather than the typical error message it comes up with a white screen saying:

Bad request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

There is then a load of code, numbers letters etc. (I can copy them down or if someone can share how do a screen print I'll post it).

I have had this all day and haven't been able to use PH on my phone at all

Any ideas please?

I had this earlier, though I can't seem to replicate it now. I have restarted my phone but other than that it's pretty random. I took a wild guess at it being PH related. The regular pistonheads site displays well enough on the iPhone for me not to bother with the mobile site. If memory serves, scroll all the way down to the bottom to get the option of regular website view (sure someone will be along soon to correct me if I'm wrong!).

To grab a screenshot with the iPhone, hold the home button down and press the power button at the top. Saves it in your camera roll

I've just tried to log in via the main site, got as far as user name & password, hit log in then got the same 'bad request' screen. Grrrr!

Hopefully the glitch will go away soon. I can seem to use the normal site on my phone now, but the mobile one is better as it fits the screen properly.

Ah well, if it magically fixes I'll let you know, unless a solution crops up first.

Just had a thought....

Go to settings on the home screen > safari > scroll down and clear cookies then cache. Then try the mobile site again. Probably fix it [though you'll have to login etc again].
