I had a 2.0 one of these widebody's when I was 19. It was chipped to 240BHP and I loved it. Sadly the rising insurance of the early 90's put an end to it after about a year.
This is the Unleaded 2.6 turbo with just 156BHP like my dad had, but I think this looks fantastic and am actually considering getting it.
Have I gone mad??
Is it one of those cars best left in the past, that will disapoint if driven on the roads today??

I noticed the drilled airbox, and that put me off a bit but the Starion owners club recommend doing that.to have holes drilled all over it!

Haven't clicked but assume it's a Starion. Don't do it. The 2.6 drinks far too much petrol for its performance, and red always fades to orange. It all depends on how you view things. If you like new cars, the refinement, the isolation and the cosseting, along with the ability to just grip and go. Then chances are you'll find this frustrating, noisy, clonky and laggy.
However, if you understand the appeal of classics and older cars, that are rawer and somehow feel more organic and closer to the action. Then I think you'll find it as good or better than before.

tty bits then go for it. I drive a MK2 MR2, I am never confident it will start in the morning, it leaks when it rains, it has cost me nearly as much to fix as it did to buy it. It has no radio (due to a fault), power steering, fuel efficiency etc. But it is a beast and I love it.
