Lotus Esprit - 2004
The lotus definitly winning. And with a V8 to! Bonus.
Not so fast, Mr Bond! The lotus definitly winning. And with a V8 to! Bonus.
C5 Corvette - 2004. And with a V8 too! Bonus.
Being something of a fan of pop-up headlamps, and having owned both Esprit and Corvette, I am naturally mourning their disappearance.

I have a C5 Corvette, (Euro Model - albeit LHD) that has pop-ups. Production on these ceased in '04, to be replaced by the (current) C6 with "normal" lights and ending a long line of Vettes with pop-ups, going back 42 years (a record?)

I'm split on the subject. While it is immensely cool, and makes me grin every time flashing somebody out of a junction, both my old MR2 and current S13 have crap headlights. Regardless of what bulbs you put in them or anything, visibility on a country road would be better with a candle mounted to the front bumper.Cool, apparently not very functional!

They are just cool, that is all that matters. If only I could get them to operate independently from each other so I could wink at people on the zebra crossing.
