Got a 40" toshiba HD which is 10 months old and is not the main tv. In all honesty it's probably been used all of 6 hours in it's whole lifetime as yet to get ariel or sky multiroom set up.

Anyway last night turned it on and only half the screen came on with a tinge of blue I could just see the wii menu then the screen went black and the standby went from a sold green to a flashing Amber. Turned it off many times and now it just flashes on half blue for a fraction of a second then the standby flashed orange again.

I bought it from comet and have lost the receipt.
Now I'm assuming they will have my receipt on record so as far as I'm concerned take back to store full refund buy a replacement.

What is wrong with it though?

You don't need a receipt, just a proof of purchase. Bank/credit card statement.

If you haven't got proof of purchase then you will struggle to get it fixed under warranty, call Comet and ask them, they may have a record of the serial number.

Are you sure it is faulty? Have you tried an aerial in it to see if it will tune to Freeview? What input were you using?
