Should I complain about main dealer service?
Discussion
Had my car serviced a couple of days ago at a main dealer. Part of the pricey 40K major service is to connect the car to a diagnostic computer and report on any fault codes stored. This WAS done at the 30K service at the same garage.
I'm fairly sure a number of fault codes should have been stored, as my car has been suffering a few mis-fires which caused the EML to flash. The last time this happened was approx 1 month ago.
However, no fault codes were reported when I picked the car up. Also, I noticed that the diagnositc port cover didn't look like it had moved. It was incorrectly fitted last time it was used, and is still in it's incorrectly fitted position (one of the clips hasn't clipped in and is sticking out of the side).
Does anyone think this is sufficient evidence to raise a complaint? Perhaps the fault codes are wiped out after a certain amount of time. Perhaps the cover was fitted back on incorrectly, just like last time? Perhaps i'm just pissed off at paying £260 for what seems to be an oil change and a top up of the washer bottle.
