Xenatec Maybach Coupe Revealed

Opulent coachbuilt limo-coupe uncovered in spec and pictures

These are the first pictures and tech spec of German coachbuilder Xenatec's extravagant Maybach coupe.

As we revealed a few months ago, Xenatec says it will build 100 examples of the 5.7-metre Maybach coupe, each costing more than £500k.

The Maybach coupe sits on the same wheelbase as the Maybach 57s limo, but the track is wider, the roof lower, and the B-pillar has been slid back to accommodate enormous doors.

Powering the beast is the same 604bhp twin-turbo V12 as the 'standard' car gets, and you can drill deeper into its specs below.

All the spec's you will ever need...apart from the length.

Surely you are meant to be driven in these? I just cant imagine your driver putting the seat forward to allow you to climb in the back!

Probably the car you would drive when your driver has the day off....biglaugh

Would rather have a Bentley Brooklands AND a Zonda for the w/e!

The good news is there are only going to be 100 of these monstrosities.

Walk away now Mercedes. Just walk away.

Who says that length and girth doesn't matter?

Even Joan Collins couldn't fill that boot!

Pointless barge... It's a car that Gordon Gekko would have owned in the 80's. Even he'd find that too pretentious nowadays!

So if the Maybach saloon was a coachbuilt S600 / S65AMG, then this is a coachbuilt CL65AMG, right?

In which case won't this win the prize for the fastest-depreciating car on the planet??? biggrin

People who drive iQ's? and have something to hide tongue out

My Mother could after her Christmas shopping trip... Her and 4 other girlfriends filled 3 Grand Voyagers after 1 day at Bluewater. And that was just doing the lower level.

If i ask nicely enough, do you think they'll give me one? I like the lines of coupés but like the practicality (?) of Saloons. S65 it'll have to be then.

So are you still supposed to be able to sit in the back? Or is this the "Driver's" option? I suppose you could get Jeeves to knock the seat forward if that were the case...

Actually - BOTH right - It's how a Maybach coupe SHOULD look... as fugly as fugly goes, but it did have presence that no official Maybach exhibits.

Since when did a car have to "have a point"?

Stop being so boring. Its a huge luxury coupe with a massive engine. What's not to like about that?

I love the style of it and one of my guys has deposited on it.

Got the pricelist here.... makes for interesting reading, here's a selection...

Panoramic sunroof 19,800 Euro + tax

Sports seats arrangement 22k

Set of light 21'' alloys 15k

Carbon diffuser 8k

All cheap stuff as you can see... the double exhausts at the back arent even standard.

About as ghastly as a car can get.

Please ask him not to do that again.
