Just sold my Astra and was looking at getting a sporty little number but can't fit in, then looked into the option of getting a boat but the wife won't let me, so I'm now stuck with 1 car, 2 drivers and a fairly flexible budget;

Car needs to be;

- Big enough for a larger than average bloke (6"4, 20 odd stone. it's all muscle though, honest)
- Something interesting, not necessarily see everyday etc
- preferably quick, but would happily waft
- Budget = £50 up to £8,000

I really have no idea what to look at, no preconceived ideas about what I see myself in next (it was a VX till I tried driving one!) so I'm really open to ideas.

If it was towards the lower end of the budget, there might be some scope for squeezing a boat on the drive as well, but I'm not going to make a decision based on that, it will be made based on how interesting a car is!!

A TVR Chimaera would suit the interesting/size criteria. Depends how committed you are to be honest.

I absolutely love them and have ahd a quick look into them, but to be honest, I'm a bit catious about the unreliability. The in-laws had a Tamora for 7 months, 5 of which were spent in the garage!!

It's probably more the fact that I don't think I could either justify or afford the inevitable bills that it would come with.
