Competitive karting in Leeds/Wakey area?
Discussion
Depends what you want but Pole position in Leeds do a members night on a Monday with a fairly decent set of lads. You have to pay a £15 membership fee but then its only £15 for 30 mins racing i think. Plus last monday of the month they do a bit of competition looking for the fastsest and most consistent driver.
Wakey used to do one on a Monday every other week and this was good crack but the karts can be a hit and miss and its a bit rough round the edges here. - good track though for what it is.
Raceway karting in Pontefract sometimes do race nights but you will have to call if its still running. Arguably the best organised and trained marshals here and a nice building but track lets it down slightly as its not the most demanding.
Thats it i think. Though if you looking for a good challenege why not go to Teesside Karting at book out the international circuit - its the same they use for track days and the British 24hr endurance
Next step up - (shy of buying your own) is club 100 nationwide or the dmax karts and Daytona Milton Keynes.
Here are some links for you.

Cheers for the replies. It would be good to get some karting done that doesnt involve chasing 15 useless blokes round for a deposit.
Will investigate further cheers.
I've been to a karting session organised from here over near York somewhere (can't remember...outdoor??). Worked OK.Will investigate further cheers.
If someone wants to sort it out I know of 6 lads that will def show up and not mess about.
PPIK is a great setup, but they can be too anal sometimes with the yellow flags - slowing you to less than walking pace half a lap from an incident when the guy behind you slows down less and is right on your arse again! Love going flat-out under the tunnel though and nicely drifing into the right-hander

Liken a yellow flag situation like this to a safety car, bunches the pack up and makes it a bit more competive.
PPIK is great, we went down one evening when they had just got a new timing system. We had a great evening of karting and testing the new software out.

LOL, sounds like you've been to one of Black Cab's events! Will investigate further cheers.

Best indoor is PPIK, they are not that anal with the flags and if you are getting flagged you probably are in the wrong, its a fastish flowing circuit, plenty of overtaking ( dont overtake under the bridge - never works !! well not for me anyway.
Outdoor - F1 at Tockwith is good if you dont mind risking rain.
if you do try and organise it yourself and 30 people say they are coming divide it by 6, I have stopped trying to organise them its a loveless task.
