I'm having a bit of a dilemma, since selling my 335d touring in April I found out the fiancee is expecting our first child 3 weeks after the car goes. Not ideal as it's replacement was a 1 series 3 door for her

So after toying with buying a cheaper/bigger car to replace the 1 series I found a 335d touring locally, but it's a tad pricey 22995 on a 57 plate with a basic spec (no nav, xenons, Bluetooth etc) but I was offered decent money for the 1 series in part ex, now my dilemma is I found a 2007 07 330d Auto touring with great spec for 21500 (xenons, pro nav, Bluetooth, sun protection etc) and they have offered me £500 more for my 1 series and as it's a main dealer it comes with the auc warranty

Any opinions on what you would buy?

Please don't mess the thread up with some sort of remap refrences it's getting boring

Surely having had 335 would you not miss the power if you bought the 330

It depends upon your priorities. I'd probably go for the 335 as I take no great issue with not having nav, xenons or bluetooth.

Your call; pace or gimmicks?

A basic spec E90/E92 simply does not appeal to me - regardless of the amazing 35d engine - so IMHO a much better spec 330d with AUC warranty would be my pick unless you could stretch to a 335d with "proper" spec (for me this would be a minimum of xenon, hifi upgrade, leather, PDC and GPS). All IMHO of course

I'd go for the 330d due to the better spec and you'll be 2k better off which you might need with the little one. Plus when you come to sell you'll struggle with the basic spec 335d as most people will want the spec if paying for a top end motor.

The base spec E91 is very plain and very boring inside. You need the spec to make it feel special.
