Insurance recommendations (JDM import)

Hi chaps,
A friend of mine has just agreed to buy a Celica and when getting to the final stages of insurance application forms (I am not sure which ones he has already tried) he is getting bounced owing to the fact that it is a japanese import. Any recommendations on an insurer who will give reasonable prices on an imported 94 Celica?

Depends on his age , you are looking to pay 30-50% premium for some unknown reason . I found that at 25 that goes down by 20% , again I have no idea why

Adrian Flux, Sky, A-Plan, Brentacre.

Try any of them. Although A-Plan may have an age limit of 21 on imports for getting insurance, I can't remember.
