hood stitching

My rear window has recently lost a few inches of the stitching... just called Trimmania but they werent interested (full replacement only.. £300 guv).. anyone here know where I could get this stitching done, around the Reading area?

It happened to me last year - I bought this stitcher from Frosts - it's not perfect but with a bit of practise it can look good enough intil more goes and it all needs replacing.

hmmm .. like the price.. but I'm one of those blokes that loses sleep if the car isnt perfect !

Hi Edt,

Mine started going last year and gradually got worse. In the end I went to David Batty (near Guilford) following recommendations on this site. They did a very good job and I believe it was around £250 including a new plastic screen (however I can't be sure on the figure as I had other things done at the time).

Might be worth speaking to Andy at AJTrimming (www.ajtrimming.co.uk). He did a great job of my interior retrim and I believe he does hoods as well.
