Video: Bugatti Veyron crashes on test drive - embarrassingly
Discussion
Warning: Contains embarrassment and possible schadenfreude
A motorist test-driving a Veyron reversed it into a Toyota which was stationary in traffic.
It's probably the slowest Veyron crash you'll see - and you have to feel a bit for the driver who was being filmed as the whole event went on.

Now - who pays here then? I'm guessing, with a car like this, you need to put down a deposit to drive it but surely some blame must be laid with the dealer. The slope is too steep for a car like the Veyron.
The dealer should have driven the car out and parked it on a side road maybe.
Any supercar dealers out there want to shed some light on the protocol in these situations?

why would you goto a city center to test drive a veyron?
I'd goto a dealer near a motorway and some narrow country lanes!!!
Oh, its America, erm a Desert then?
Plus the dealer needs to get their entrance sorted for selling $1m cars.....

-10 manpoints for the driver though! bet he was a bit red-faced!

Guys I think you have all missed the cause of this crash. As you can see the car was in high downforce mode with the spoiler in the full up position. He had obviously miscalculated the amount of downforce available at the time and therefore lost contol. C'mon its a mistake anyone of us could have made

And where do you find Bugatti showrooms outside of big cities? I'm pretty sure across the world, they are in expensive areas of cities - the obvious reason for which is to be near and available to their wealthy clientèle.I'd goto a dealer near a motorway and some narrow country lanes!!!

Surely the dealer should have reversed the car out for the customer?
Presumably if the dealer crashed, he'd have to pay...It should have avoided the prang but would have still scraped the floor on its way down.
Either way it's an epic fail for driver and dealer. Wherever there's a Bugatti Veyron there's a nearby camera phone. Must be a nightmare for drivers, although I'm sure they don't care too much. After all, they do have a Veyron!
