What a waste of money. A bunch of people (possibly the majority non-drivers) telling us not to use our personal vehicles for transportation to where we want to go.

They had no solutions. The government tripped itself up by allowing TOCs higher and higher rail ticket prices, ignoring bad performance and doing nothing about overcrowding making their cause worthless - so these organisations ended up patronising and persecuting the motorist.

"Transport" for them meant buses, bicycles, tubes and trains
