Hi Guys,

A guy in my office recently gave me an old Rotary manual wind wrist watch. Excuse the crap BB photos. Will take some decent ones at the weekend. It works but seems to stop after six hours and requires another wind then works again for another six hours. The guy was about to throw it in the bin and me being the now fully addicted WIS trainee I am I rescued watch from said distruction.

Any info on this watch?

So the watch was conviscated last night to be restored at a later date and was replaced by the Lonstar watch. It says Swiss Made has a wreath for a logo and is Anti Magnetic. Again manual wind. I've already called shotgun on this one when it stops working and he's agreed. thumbup

Any info on this watch?

Just checked the Rotary and from about 4pm last night to now its lost 4 mins which is better then the 6 hours stop wind 6 hours it was doing when he first had it on.

Sounds like the watches need a good clean speak to Steve Burrage in Leicester.

Probably haven't seen a service for donkeys so the insides sound gummed up somewhat - as Bry says, just shoot 'em off for a clean.
