Hi all,

I am taking driving lessons at the moment, the car I would really like as my first would a mini, having looked at insurance the prices are coming back at 5k - 8k a year, does anybody my age (18) insure a mini cheaper than that fully comp?

Many thanks

Ben

Try Greenlight insurance:,

If you join www.totalmini.com you might even get a members discount, they are a sponsor on the site wink

I used to have a cooper. whe i was 18 i paid £2200 then in my 3rd year i shopped around and found it for £660 from elephant. but sayin that insurance prices hav gone up for young driver 17 to 25 at least 47% i was reading on the BBC web site. it will also help to lower ya insurance if u do less then 10k per year and add 1 or 2 parents, to the policy ifther have a clean license or had no claims.

Admiral. I do live in the countryside in the NE of Scotland though. 5k miles per annum, both parents as named drivers.
