Right, my back box and centre section is rusted through (yet still managed to pass mot?! beer) so i feel it's time to replace the standard items, ideally I would like a full system but can't afford one yet frown i've bought the backbox but I am struggling to find a centre section anywhere!!

Any idea's?
Thanks
Jack

Take 1x baked bean can, cut off ends and put 1 cut along the full length to. 2 x Jubilee clips. And a tube of that hardening exhaust paste stuff. Now patch the hole. (Assuming it's that kind of problem....which it probably isn't...it's gone right next to the "bit what bolts it all together" hasn't it.)

good advice, however the whole system is rusted, the main reason why i'm changing the centre section now, despite funding issues, is that the backbox has pretty much rust-welded itself to the centre section, to the point the nuts have half disintegrated to bolts getmecoat

Funny you should say this OP, I just got my backbox replaced today and it was exactly like yours. My guy really struggled to separate the two and had to grind off one of the centre section studs.

A flick onto ebay found a few centre pipes though, one used, a few new.

You might also want to try Autolink:

Right you are Jack, I mis-read mk2.5 for mk2.

Try this:

Clearly you need a new exhaust now but don't currently have the funds.

Why not get a 0% credit card for purchases think Tesco do 16 months plenty of others available. Problem solved.

NEXT.

Don't Chav it up spoiling it with silly diameter which could decrease backpressure and thus power.

no worries there welshbeef i agree with you on that one, imo anythign bigger that 3" just looks stupid...and more often than not sounds scensoredt
I don't mind it being loud so long as it doesn't sound manufactured/generic!!

And yeah it might need to come to that, although i don't really like the idea of a credit card as I know i'll be like 'just pay for this as well, i'll be able to pay it back' lol whistle
