Anyone else very happy for JLR?

So I just heard that JLR have posted record figures, so they are finally doing well.

Personally I have been waiting for this for quite a while, I really thought they deserved to do better when they released the XF, as it was such a great car, and of course they are a British institution (Well, kinda, damn Tata.) It does of course mean jobs are saved and more will be created. Ace.

So here's to them and their well deserved success

Im glad they are doing well! They have some very good cars! Think a smaller car or a sub-jag brand might be good!

really brings it to the German boys in terms of drive, build quality and comfort. Just a shame it's not as good a looker on the outside as they promissed us it would be though.

Here's hoping that Lotus will follow the trend following their ambitious aspirations too. Just goes to prove we 'could' have had a british car industry had the investment been there.

Excellent news, although I'm not really surprised. Their last single, "The Club Is Alive", was some of their best work to date.

Not just record figures but big plans afoot too.

They've secured funding for 1200 more uk jobs and increased work for the current factories through to 2020!

They are also hiring a LOT of people at the moment.

Great news for the industry.

As a JLR employee im very happy.

In fact the latest models are so much better built than previous models. And thats for both Jag and LR in my experience.

Things are looking up for them. As long as they dont make anymore aggerssive cutbacks again and ruin things

I am too, I know a number of people who work/have worked for them, so good for them, and it's good to see some positive in the UK car industry at the moment! Also I understand many more jobs will be made by this too, lets just hope its not a blip and they keep going strong
