I swapped back to the standard exhaust on my M3 in the hope of pleasing the noise Nazis. Good luck getting a Ferrari through the noise test. I though it was "no second chance" at Bedford - so if you set off a noise meter then you're off?

Last time I was at Bedford there were some skylines that failed the static and they just told them to not go round together, they did say there was a one strike policy and the council were outside listening when I left, the locals are a real pain in the arse to be honest,

I had to give them a ring on Friday as I hadn't recieved the forms either, the good lady on the phone said they are a bit behind on sending the emails out and she sent it to me there and then.

I've been Bedford hundreds of times... and been kicked off with lots of cars in the past.

took F430 down there last time with my Clio. Thought I would have few slow laps at the end lifting for the meters...

no problems...

so went bit harder... still no problems.

Then 2 PROPER flat out laps. Even full hammer out of the pit straight hairpin where the closest nosie meter is!

NO NOISE PROBLEMS!!!!

couldn't believe it.

Have the laps on video. will post them up... you can see I am not hanging around at all... and can hear the engine being redlined in every gear.

Noise is a strange thing!


yesterday I saw lots of people getting pinged for noise. Including a friend with his Westy.

I was expecting mine to ping the noise meters so ran very low boost. Until just after lunch. whacked boost up to 2.3Bar and gave it full chat and 8300rpm. No problems!! and I have a VERY loud sequential gearbox

But unless you have a modified Deloreon... trying to book a trade day today that occured yesterday is always going to be tricky!
