Not quite for drag racing (well not yet anyway), but...
Looking at a pair of turbos for a high-spec LSX427 SBC. Going to be run on street gas, but want to push well into the 1000+hp.
Been offered GT35-Rs and Borg Warner S300 or S400. All and any views appreciate...
s400 will be too big for your goal.Spool up will take to long for sensible road use.Looking at a pair of turbos for a high-spec LSX427 SBC. Going to be run on street gas, but want to push well into the 1000+hp.

65 to 70mm size turbos would be good. If the gt35 or s300 are close to this then go for them. They will achieve well over your 1000hp goal.
BW is a very good long lasting turbo too..

It's been a while, but the (BW S300) turbos are finally in place and happily running to 17psi. Currently limiting factor is the injectors (96lb). I'm not sure how much more puff the turbos have:

Engine dyno? Fuel? Comp ratio? What's the donk going in? Full turbo specs please. Oh and well done

1:8.5
97-ron fuel (Shell v-power)
Borg Warner s300 turbos (DC 55 stamped on them - quite small - running flat out)
It's going in my street legal Vauxhall Monaro VXR and will be used for RWYB and standing mile events. Looks very standard, though will have the rear modified by John to ensure that the power actually reaches the road.
