So what do people think the government will do (if anything) to VED rates ?

Probably nothing this time......wait until the next budget....
They are moaning around here that the A14 upgrade(or rather diversion around Huntingdon to miss a flyover that is collapsing) Brampton to Fen drayton is to be axed.....the local MP joker reckons we should look at the road to be a Pay as you go road......tw*t....
He should look at M6 1st and know that wagons will then use the A428 and cars the back roads.....still he is like is tory mates.....millionaires

think I read somewhere where the coalition is leaving the motorists alone and not touching petrol prices and VED as we got whalloped every budget for the last 10 years! But saying that, they've changed their mind on education so fingers crossed!

Our Fiat 500 renewal came through £30 pa. I guess thats the price you pay for driving an underpowered telephone.

Instead of letting pre-1973 cars off from VED as being "classics" they could re-label them "heavy polluters" and apply a charge. Increasing every year for the next few decades of course....

This is bound to happen soon, they don't want us driving around in cars that have no computers that can be taken over hehe
