If you don't need the extra practicality, the Scirocco. If you do, the Octavia. I've never really "got" SEATs, the Skoda just seems a better car to me.

This. Although the Octavia, especially in estate guise, is a fantastic all-rounder.

How much cheaper is the Skoda than the VW on your deal?

Hmmm, I`d have expected the VW to be more than £40 per month more than the Skoda.

I`d plump for the Octavia.

I would go for the VW without hesitation. Mainly because it looks very nice I think and with the latest golf underpinnings it shouldnt be half bad to drive. Also resale value seems to be holding out well on the Scirocco thus far
