Hi Guy's
New on here so thourght I would get a post up, lol
Last week I sold the love of my life, my mint Mk2 Golf GTi. I'm 25 and we have our second child on the way so I thourght it best I sold the toy and got something more suitable for the job.
After the sale last Saturday me and the old man set off for London to look at a 2000 530i M-sport individual (the purple one on here with two tone leather).
Well what can I say, It's awesome. Smooth, quick, fantastic looking and big enough for all the family, lol. I always loved the E39's but until I saw this one I never really looked close enough to consider buying one. Although the purple and two tone leather is not everybodies choice this for me was what made it. It looks stunning and also gives it the younger persons twist, If you get my drift.
I dont really know all that much about the 530's but everything seems sweet the body work is stunning with no dings, scratches and only a small bubble around the rear badge(to be sorted over next couple of weeks), the engine and box are as smooth as silk and with full bmw service history and only 104k I'm not expecting there to be to much to worry about. Every toy works, pixels are fine and interior unmarked. With new tyres, just serviced and taxed well into next year I'm still gobsmacked that a car as great as this can be had for as little as 4k.
Why anyone would go out and spend 10k on a car is beyond me (unless it was a M5 lol).
So there we go, I am well and truely hooked, not some much with the fuel consumption, lol but a small price to pay for a awesome car.
Cheers
Ben
p.s If the fella who sold me the car is reading this, thank you. A truely loved and care for car and In such mint condition a true credit to you.

Nice one mate
I'm 2 months into an E39 530i ownership and I'm still as chuffed with it as you are right now
Works perfectly for wife and 2 kids and the associated pile of stuff that needs to be lugged around with them. Fuel economy depends on what you're driving - I'm doing a 70 mile commute each day (60 of those miles are mway) - I average 30mpg which is reasonable. Did you go auto or manual?
As above, get some pics up!

Hi Guy's
It's an auto, I'm currently tring out different driving styles to see how i can get the best from it in terms of speed and mpg. I have been using the tiptronic over this weekend and I think it's slightly better, plus using the cruise where possible. I have took some pic's today after and wash and wax so i'll dig the lead out and get them up.
I was looking through the history today and everything is present and order apart from the original bill of sale. Can I get a copy of thourgh a dealer, just intrested to find out what it cost new with all extra's, lol.
