We (me, wife and son) are booked Easyjet from Gatwick to Munich for a long weekend on Thursday and we're only taking cabin baggage. Son's now not coming, so can me and the wife take a 3rd bag as the seat and the baggage allowance has been paid for? Or does the allowance have to go with a passenger?

The one piece of cabin baggage per person rule is an airport security rule, not an Easyjet one. So if there's only two of you travelling you'll be limited to 2 bags.

Not sure what you mean by having paid for the baggage allowence though - you only have to pay for checked baggage, not cabin baggage.

If you've paid for 3 bags to go in the hold then that's on the booking, not the individuals, so you'd still get to take 3 bags.

Not any more, Gatwick security will let you take more than one bag through, it is a question of what easy jet will let you take on board.

The answer is no. If the 3rd traveller does not turn up, then Easyjet will reclaim that seat.
