Bought a used v8v a couple of weeks back. Was told by the dealer the tracker company would get in touch to get a subscription etc. Not heard anything yet. How long did it take the Aston tracker firm to get in touch with you guys?

Suggest you call Eurowatch directly, waiting could invalidate your insurance. If heaven forbid the tracker doesn't work you will also want to return to the dealer pronto.

The tracker is an enormous pain in the rectum. Tell them I said so and I challenge them to a duel as I demand satisfaction.

Is it a 4.3 with the "credit cards"?
My 4.7 is bluetooth and works fine.
Call Eurowatch to get it sorted as it may well invalidate your insurance with out it!

My tracker is deactivated. The insurance company doesn't require it, so I haven't bothered. Mine is a 2006 V8V however, so might fall beneath their £ threshold.

I was in the same position as Good Soil (Pete) and called Eurowatch directly. They had a problem making contact with the tracker, but could not have been more helpful. I told the insurers that the tracker was out of action and was glad I did so because they took it very seriously. Anyway, after a reboot, the tracker came alive and all is well. Agree with those who say don't jeopardise your insurance, and you should have no fear of calling Eurowatch.

trackers are a total waste of money, there solely for the benefit of the gypsy robbing insurance companies benefit only.At your cost, before and after a theft.
They can be very easily be overcome in seconds. Not to mention possibly incriminate you in certain instances

Do you really want your car back after its been thrashed, whopped over curbs, and generally abused whilst been stolen? and possibly repaired by ins co without getting a cash incentive?
No thanks id take the cash every time.
If any of mine go i don't want them back unless i get a Large cash bonus.I've seen what ins company's give back.
Whats the point of paying for theft on your policy if its tracker?
Just like the recent ins co advertising if your hit by uninsured drivers,
there on a win win situation at your experience ,

Any way whats the immobiliser for? so if its gona get nicked nowadays the keys have to be stolen/lost/found or left in the car, and the later 3 are an excuse for the insurance not to pay out, so yes the tacker may pay for your stupidity
If the pro is going to street lift the car he will kill the tracker first there and then, will tracker fork out for the theft as mot fit for purpose? i think not.
If traffic cops see a high value motor on a recovery waggon they usually run it through the computer any way,

The unit can be used to prove your speed certain situations, (as has mobile phone technology) to secure a prosecution, yet another excuse for ins co not to pay out.
Our wagons had to be trackerd and some times escorted due to the nature of our contracts.

The company is a complete pain the Ar$£. Help desk only open 9-5:30 during the week Mon-Friday.. ie. when you are at work.

Thinking about just binning the subscription and converting to an insurance company that does not require one.

I have my phone paired to the tracker.. but it just does not detect it.. every journey the tracker txt's to alarm and collect pin. That would annoy you if you had to do it every journey. Twice if you fill with fuel.

Not bad interior out in 8 mins,
I said Liverpudlians should be on every F1 pit crew, the speed they can have a set of wheels off,and you'd only have to pay em a 8Th of skunk a day.

School off?... Don't be silly its play time

dont be daft Froggie......read the bloody post !!!!I said the police found it in 8min which they did after being contacted by tracker......however the car was in the carpark outside my gym for an hour before I realised it had been stolen......the police told me at the time it takes less 15 min to strip the seats and trim from a 3 series

ps I dont live in Liverpool
