The picture below shows the chassis on my 3000m, which appears to be missing the engine mounts for the Essex engine, does anyone have any pictures of where they should go and what they look like? presumably they are flat plates mounted horizontally onto the chassis?

You have a strangely modified crossmember and the members that usually angle up to the steering rack pedestals are missing. Why?

Yet again....that is what you get with using... Birmingham-screwdriver-right paint over rust...nothing that cannot be fixed though.

Erich's top rails above the suspension pickups also do not extand as far back as an original chassis woul. I would suggest that his chassis has been chopped about in the past to in an attempt to fit a V8

I was never any good at them spot the difference things, even after you and SM pointed those out I had to take several looks.

This is what you mean I take it?

I notice this orange chassis is also missing the front kick up section, which is presumably where the rad mounts?

The previous owner installed a Cerbera AJP8, which is presumably why the Ford engine mounts are missing, looks like he hacked the upper rails about while he was at it!

I have two concerns now, firstly has he compromised the structural integrity of the chassis?
Would a scrutineer necessarily pick up on the modification?

The RED chassis has the spare wheel mount removed (the kick up) and perhaps a picture of a turbo chassis which has the different versions of the rack supports would be an easier retro repair.

Edited due to colour error! and ignore the chassis lug strengthening...I nearly said gusset!

Modified dogleg in lower chassis crossmember also and no chassis members extending forwards to rack mounts
