Hire cars in the USA
Discussion
Hoping to get over to the States next year and want to hire a car for part of it.
I will be there for about a month and want to visit Boston (to see friends) then go to Philadelphia to visit my brother then finally onto Atlanta to visit my uncle.
I am thinking it would be be better to fly from Boston to Philly and again to Atlanta and once in Georgia hire the car and save the driving for that part of the trip. I think driving from Boston to Philly and then to Atlanta will be too much. I should point both my parents will be on this trip and it will probably be their last across the pond so do not want to push things too hard.
Anyways be interested to hear other folks opinions and advice as to the best company to hire from.... as an aside would be fun to have something interesting to drive rather than something run of mill so if anyone has experience about which companies offer the most "interesting" cars please share

Last week I picked up a car from Almo at Philly airport, (brilliant as ever). Drove down to Baltimore to pick up a friend the next day we drove to Newport RI then the next night cape cod MA about the same as Boston. Then after a few days there I drove straight back to Baltimore. The drive was not too bad but traffic around New York was bad on the 95, I certainly don’t think I would have missed much flying.
The drive is a lot further to go down to Atlanta from Philly but if you have the luxury of time you could make a nice run along Blue Ridge parkway. Although if you fly back from anywhere you drive to beware the one way drop

I hired a car in New york, I booked them by a car hire excess company, they were quite helpful and understanding, definitely you can go with them.
