I was driving to work this morning when these two lights came on. The manual describes that if the ETC (Electronic Traction Control) comes on, and stays on, then the system has found a fault but doesn't explain anything else at all.
Any ideas what this is and if it's even derogatory driving it to the garage?

ABS light came on as well but there's no difference in the way it drives or brakes. I'll switch to my defender for the rest of the week but I still need to get it to the garage at the weekend.
Had a quick browse around the net and found things as simple as a deep puddle setting this off. Rather be sure though

I would suspect the ABS pump. A weak spot on later classics. And classic symptoms of one going.

Get it to a landy specialist, and interogate the ECU. It'll give you some idea where the fault is.
I had issues with mine, it was one of the wheel speed sensors in the axle.

Check your bulbs before you do anything expensive- that's exactly what happened to mine.
