Looks like it could be a good event. This caught my interest; "Goodwood Breakfast Club featuring TVR within a theme of British Sports Cars" because the dates and themes for the breakfast club meets are not even confirmed on the GRRC members site yet so are the TVRCC are taking a flyer on this or maybe there is something arranged with Goodwood?

I saw some of the details in Sprint received on Saturday. I have to say that a trackday with only 40 cars permitted is incredibly restricting, especially as this is billed as “The event of the year”. I know interest in trackdays from TVR drivers seems to have diminished in recent years, but surely at such an event there must be over 100 cars as potential entrants to a prestigious circuit? Which brings me to my next point: to tie the track event into the “Premiere Package” does financially disadvantage any member who only wishes to pay for the track. The encouragement to book today is all very well, but how can this be done without knowing the prices, which aren’t available for another month? I’m guessing that the cost is likely to be several hundred pounds for this package, which may well put it out of reach of many, and make it completely unviable for those only interested in the track event.
Goodwood has a noise restriction which is REALLY strict.
TDs rarely run there with more than 40 cars and usually only 99dbs, most are 95!!!
Be interesting to see what the set up is. Maybe finding 40 TVRs with sub 100db and £££s maybe hard.
I hope it goes well, it sounds like a top do! Yjey do have "loud days" at 105 but these are usually restricted to racing...FOS etc

Test at Goodwood is static but they also have drive by meters and can (and will) black flag if these are triggered. Quoted db will I am sure be for the static.
This is from the Goodwood site for their own run TD's
Looks like the 40 car days are normally 98 with 10 cars on track, and 105 days are a max of 25 to ensure adequate track time given only 5 on at a time - TAG article indicates you will either be in the morning or afternoon session and therefore part of a group of 20, from this I expect Goodwood will still limit to 5 cars out at any given time - if so then a 3 hour session then becomes 3 lots of 15 minutes sessions per car (given it will take 1 hour to rotate all 20 cars), so 45 minutes total tracktime.
Out of interest, did a sprint there last year and was reading 106db (105 allowable), they did after much consternation let me out but said if I triggered a drive by I would be back off again. At the end of the day they mentioned to a Sagaris owner I was there with that he had been very close to being pulled for drive by, I asked about me but they said mine hadn't been a problem for that. Saggy had passed the static easier than mine but clearly the side exit exhaust of these didn't do it any favours

Goodwood operates two types of Track Day
* A 10-car day at of 98 decibels, with a maximum of 40 cars run in sessions of 10.
* A 5-car day at 105 decibels, with a maximum of 25 cars run in sessions of 5.

In my experience of 105db loud days, you normally get 5 laps per session,If you are a Goodwood novice should be looking at lap times of c2 mins give or take a couple of seconds. The noise test is done staticly at 3/4 of your rev limit, i.e if your V8 revs to 6k then the marshall will ask you to rev to 4k and hold for a second or two.The noise regulations are very strict as already mentioned, noisier cars back off when they pass the sensors around the track
so i would confirm whether you get a refund if your car fails the test if you are pre-booking.We have never had enough "quite" TVRs for a Tiv only track day in the past
For the record my Tamora( cats/sports exhaust) was 116db at 5250rpm
Are the TVRCC trying to charge you for the FREE breakfast club meet on the Sunday?
Thats how it reads to me, i might be wrong though?
There will be plenty of room on the track to park up on the Sunday imo, last year at the Breakfast club Soft top Sunday the cars stretched all the way down the Lavant straight, and up past the paddock area to Madgwick corner.
Hundreds of cars
Us locals get to Goodwood often, a great free day out as there is a track day most Saturdays and a decent drive there too

I asked that question of the organiser and this is their reply "The Breakfast Club is not 'free' for this event. We will be retaining a lot of vendors and displays on the Sunday which comes at a cost. That is why it is included as part of a package."Thats how it reads to me, i might be wrong though?

Well i have never paid to enter the circuit for any track day or breakfast club meet. I really can`t see Goodwood charging for this, after all they make enough money out of there "catering" services

We will pop over as usual, we won`t be fussed if we ain`t parked with other TVRs to be honest.
