Hello all!

At work today we were talking about male / female roles and their different benefits / downfalls (This isnt' intended to be a sexist topic!) and we got onto the line of sales reps when buying cars so I thought there couldn't be a better place to discuss!

So, when buying a car, new or used do you feel you are more likely to buy if you have a female or male rep? Or no difference?!?

Please list:

Gender: Male
Preference: Male
Reason: I feel that, and I am sure some would agree searching for your vehicle is a "Manly" experience and as such a male would be preferred in my opinion! Other opinions are available else where smile

I would have researched the car first and so it wouldn't make a difference what they said. I don't buy cars because I like the person that is trying to sell it!

Edit: unless it was a woman with massive tits, then I'd buy it.

One of my mates has a colleague who uses her large assets to upsell. Works well, it seems, as she sells loads of cars!

Whichever one actually knows their product, and isn't just an idiot that makes things up.

I don't think the sales person can have any, or very little influence on what car someone might choose.

A good sales persons job is to persuade the customer to buy from them, and now.

There was some research I heard about a long time ago, which basically said by the time the average customer goes to see a car, they have already been thinking about changing cars for 6 months.

Imagine a world without sales people. Folk going around willy nilly doing their own research and buying the stuff they need. Madness I tell thee!

OP - wouldn't bother me. Car showrrom staff are just there to do the administration.

I don't need a salesman, they are simply cashiers really.

Personally i prefer buying cars from men, this is purely cos when i've dealt with lady car salesmen they tend to try and use their charms. I just cannot respect a saleswoman who relies on 'assets' to get sales....

Given the choice

1) Right car
2) Right price
3) Good service
4) Nice bazookas

or

1) st car
2) Over priced
3) st service
4) Nice bazookas

Either way it's all about the bazookas, given the choice biggrin
